Non fatevi ingannare dal numero di versione. Questa 5.0 di MySQL, stando a quanto dichiarato dal team di sviluppo http://dev.mysql.com/, è una vera e propria rivoluzione. Sentite qui:

Insomma, una svolta storica. Adesso ha tutte le caratteristiche di un DBMS di livello enterprise. Appena ho tempo ci voglio giocare un pò…sarebbe interessante fare un raffronto con il “fratello maggiore” PostgresSQL (che intanto annuncia la beta della 8.1)
